We are very pleased to share news about improvements to the MacArthur Foundation’s grantmaking processes and enhanced service to grantees. We are launching a new Grants Management System (GMS), which features an online interface to apply for funding, and a portal where grantees can check the status of proposals, grants, reports, and payments in real time. Our GMS is accessible through a web browser, allowing grantees and Foundation staff to enjoy a shared view of information that will make communication easier.

We will temporarily pause grantmaking activities when we retire our current system on August 10, and open the new one on September 8. During this time, we will not be accepting applications, documents or reports.

In addition, we will not be issuing grant payments between August 14 and September 4.

Current grantees will receive user IDs to access the new system on August 29, and they will be activated on September 8.
